It did take us nearly an hour to assemble it, but that is not a deal breaker. Just be aware it will not be a quick pop together. And you will definitely need two people to bring the box inside and unpack it - it is very heavy. Once assembled, we could test out the custom settings and flexibility of the chairs different sitting positions. The biggest complaint I have is that it was not very comfortable for me. I am not too tall at 6'2, but could really see that it would be uncomfortable to use for long periods. However, my wife, 5'6, loves it! You can definitely see that the chair fit her better and she was able to adjust the settings to make it comfortable and perfect. This is the reason we got the chair. My husband suffers from neck pain and this chair allows him to lean back and rest his neck through the day. It helps him relax.The chair was easy to assemble, but it came with a missing bolt. One of the heavy duty bolts that holds the chair onto the stand.The chair is very comfortable to sit in. It has numerous settings for the recline and a pneumatic loft. The seat of the chair seems to be a little short, might not be deep enough for some.The neck rest can be adjusted at different levels allowing it to form exactly where you need it.Out biggest concern with the chair is the arms; they do not adjust the width of the chair. My husband wears his cell phone on his belt with a clip and every time he gets in and out of the chair, the arms grab ahold of his phone. We are very worried that it will break his clip. The arms do adjust, but not on the width. They adjust the height and even swivel sideways. Neither of these adjustments gives additional width to the chair.Nice, heavy duty chair. Just make certainthat you have all of the \"front\" arrows on the chair, the arms and controls pointing in the same direction.This is really important in a chair this heavy as it's just not very forgiving to lift the whole unit off andtake things apart, like say the control system.I highly recommend a helper so that you are not super frustrated or get hurt trying to hold something up andinstall screws at the same time. I love this feature as I canbe in the office chair off and on for several hours and when using a mouse, Wacom, or iPad Pro forprocessing work this is a feature that really helps with stability and it saves my neck and shoulders!*The only thing that I find annoying is the fact that there is a bar that runs right across the middle of yourback behind the mesh material. It's padded, but unfortunately it hits me right where I broke a vertebra severalyears ago. I wish they could have used a different support design.Perhaps a multi-pattern heavy back mesh support some how supported by the remote frame,but due to this I'll just have to see how long I can work in it. I may get used to it.If you have nerve damage in your back, I'm 5'8\", the padded cross bar it's me several inches below myshoulder blades. I'm hoping that will give you an idea of where it might contact your back when youlean into it. Just an FYI.I like the mesh better than the standard padding. Due to the same accident I have some pain sittingon most surfaces for long periods, especially hard, or poorly padded seating. Most office chairslose me after 30 minutes. I've been able to sit in this one, with required standing breaks, for 2.5 hours.That's pretty good for me. Just sharing this information for those of use that have had injurious careersin our past.The head rest is a welcome feature and I do use it. Especially when I feel stuck on a problem and needto think it out. The only caveat is that even though it moves it's the only thing that does not have anincremental click adjustment. It just moves and I've tried to find a position and tighten it with the hex wrenchbut that does nothing and I don't want to strip out the bolts.The construction seems durable and the frame is made of sturdy resin plastic. The mesh is heavy duty with out beingabrasive, and it retains good looks required in a professional environment.I recommend this chair to anyone with serious office needs that has the room for it as it's not a tinylittle office chair, but it's not huge. Time for a new chair.I posted a photo of the Komene chair, plus one of my previous chair next to the new one.I doubted this $250 Komene chair would measure up, but it's actually better in many ways.Pros: (1) The mesh provides air flow, so it doesn't get as hot as the other chair did, (2) It feels better on my back because it's shaped to provide lumbar support, (3) it has a headrest extension which can help keep my head in a healthier posture, (4) the seat is more comfortable, (5) you can tilt back to the angle your prefer and lock it at that angle, and (6) it's much less expensive.Cons: (1) the armrests can be raised or lowered only about 5 inches; I sometimes like to type without armrests but can't lower them enough to do that this this chair, (2) the seat riser seems glitchy; once I got it to the height I prefer, it seems to have locked itself there, and I can't lower it anymore, (3) The armrests are very firm; I would have preferred a more cushy feeling.But all the cons are fairly minor, and I suspect I will figure out why the riser is locked and enable it to to go up and down again. Since it's at my preferred height already, I'm not too concerned about it.It has a tension knob underneath that allows you to freely recline back a bit, and I keep mine at the tightest level so I only lean back when I really want to. At looser tension, you may find yourself involuntarily leaning back.Oh, and one other pro: I like the way it looks. As a short person, many office chairs are way too tall for me, and way too long in the seat -- this one is perfect - AND can adjust up for tall folks. The floating lower (mesh) back support is excellent! The back can tilt back or lock in place upright, and the tilt tension can be easily adjusted.The way the seat curves down will help those who tend to get their circulation cut off on the thighs with regular seats.The unit I was shipped do NOT have flip UP arm rests -- they do swivel side to side and go higher or lower, but do not flip up out of the way as you might assume from the description.
